, Inc. has announced that is as made deals with leading independent record labels and distributors. Slacker, Inc. now has relationships with IODA, The Orchard, Beggars Group, and Matador Records, IRIS, Ubiquity Records and Sanctuary Group PLC. Users will now be able to access music represented by these companies. Slacker, Inc. had previously announced similar agreements with major labels, so when you click on the indie station you get a shot of Radiohead with your Editors. The interface is very user friendly, and will help provide a great soundtrack for your next hipster party.

Well that died quickly. It’s been a year now and this didn’t really develop any further. Sad for Slacker.
