Well apparently it was all true. Who in the hell would have ever believed that The Enquirer would leak a true story? Today, John Edwards admitted to having an affair with filmmaker Rielle Hunter. He told ABC that he repeatedly lied about his affair with Hunter, and also mentioned that the love child we’ve heard so much about isn’t his. John Edwards says the affair was a “serious error in judgement.” Edwards also stated that he has informed his wife, who is currently struggling with cancer, and has asked for her forgiveness.
You can bet this will definitely remove any chance of John Edwards becoming Obama’s running mate in the upcoming election.
Here’s our old story:
John Edwards is having an affair? No word on if this is real or not, but since when has the right been able to get this much control over releasing what comes out in the media? (Well unless they start their own channel or radio show). Rumors and the Enquirer are saying that Presidential candidate John Edwards cheated on his wife while she was undergoing cancer treatments. Holy bad decision making batman (well we’ll need to see a pic) but no seriously, this is bad, bad stuff.. especially since he’s dragging his wife out on the campaign trail with him!
Apparently the other woman, Rielle Hunter, (who he reportedly met at a bar) worked on the campaign with Edwards in the past, and regularly traveled across the country with him.
Check out the Enquirer for more updates or proof that this is a complete lie. I’m not linking there, I don’t want to catch anything.
Update: 7/23/08 It’s nice to see that the Enquirer has decided to ramp this story up again just as talks begin swirling about John Edwards running for Vice President on the Obama ticket. Stay Classy National Enquirer.
Enquirer writers might want to do some cheating of their own while wearing a John Edwards mask.
Still on July 29, it’s just much ado about nothing and seems to be the Enquirer trying to attract readers back to their out-dated tabloid.
