I’ve been kicking my own ass lately with a scientific diet and a very simple workout plan that I found on the Men’s Health forums.
The idea is simple and fool proof:

I found the fucking Peach Pit!
November 29th, 2007 · 3 Comments
That’s right, the Peach Pit from 90210. I know it’s a little strange to still be obsessing over this show, but I blame the Soap Network and the fact that I live with my girlfriend, and maybe the fact that I can relate to the characters because most of them are older than I […]

Ask The Snark - Where are all the parks in Los Angeles?
November 19th, 2007 · 3 Comments
Hi there! Since moving to LA I’ve found that it’s near impossible to find any big open areas of green grass around town. My frisbee has been neglected for far too long! Other than the beaches, are there any actual green grass parks I can visit in LA?
Thanks,
Amy - Los Feliz

Lost & Found - Cocktails and Dancing

The intersection of National and Barrington in West LA is always a headache during my morning and evening commutes, with drivers crossing four lanes of traffic to get into Whole Foods at the last second, people jumping out of their car for Starbucks, people leaving their car running as they run to the Blockbuster Video […]
Ask the Snark - Irish Pubs in Los Angeles
November 15th, 2007 · No Comments
I recently moved to LA from the east coast and I’m on a hunt for the best Irish Pub type bars on the west side, any tips? Thanks.
Pete - Brentwood
Hey Pete,
I moved out here from the east coast last year and I was on the same pub hunt. Lucky for you I did a […]

The Dresden - Los Feliz

After seeing the movie Swingers way too many times to count before moving out to LA, one of my first goals upon my arrival was to find The Dresden and hear Marty and Elaine sing Staying Alive.

Hollywood Billiards Sports Bar & Grill
November 13th, 2007 · 1 Comment
During the World Series, I was forced to hit up “Hollywood Billiards” to catch the game with friends. I’m not a sports fan, but I do enjoy any reason to drink beer in excess and gorge myself on fried finger foods. Even still, I was reluctant to go because I’ve driven past […]

Mariposa Restaurant - El Segundo
November 13th, 2007 · 1 Comment
We’re on a diner kick here at LA Snark, and The Mariposa Restaurant in El Segundo kinda slides under the door in the “diner” classification. The food is quick, fried, and there’s a counter.. that might be the end of it’s diner-ness, but it’s a personal standby.

Rae’s Diner - Santa Monica
November 12th, 2007 · 1 Comment
I’m always on the diner hunt, and after finding a great breakfast up the street from me at Cafe 50’s, I decided to hit the web and see what other diners people were recommending. Our fellow LA Bloggers over at LosAnjealous.com recommended Rae’s Diner, so I had to check it out.

The Swell Season at the Wiltern - Review
November 11th, 2007 · 1 Comment
Last night I picked up some last minute tickets to The Swell Season via a nice girl selling them for face value on Craigslist. I packed up the girlfriend (well she packed me up and drove) and we headed on out to K-town.

Cafe 50’s - The one on Santa Monica Blvd
November 9th, 2007 · 2 Comments
Maybe it’s because I’m reliving my Beverly Hills 90210 days (damn you Soap Network!) but this place HIT THE SPOT. I’ve been craving a place where I can sit down dangerously close to the popping grease of the fry-o-later whatever that thing is, since I got to LA. My first attempt was a […]
Siam Chan Restaurant

There’s no better sound in the world than the Siam Chan delivery guy knocking on your door. Conveniently located right down the street from my apartment, this place is as good as Thai food gets. You know what? Always go with the free delivery.

Fritto Misto - Santa Monica
November 7th, 2007 · No Comments
Fritto Misto in Santa Monica never disappoints. This family-run Italian restaurant covers all the bases from fettucine to gnocchi and even lets you customize your own dishes. The wine list is short but perfect (I recommend whatever that top Cabernet Sauvignon is.)
