Their song “Sceneboy” is destined for great things, at least the conquering of all iPods in the free world. Aerodrone started in 2007 when Gary Zon started making Nintendo-like tracks on FruityLoops inspired by such bands as Jimmy Eat World, the Faint, and the Killers, with the intention of having the tracks eventually played with […]

Quarterlife sucks
February 27th, 2008 · 6 Comments
The commercials for this show were trying so hard to speak to me, that I felt it would only be polite for me to check out the first episode.
First, before offering my opinion, I want to say thank you for the “edgy” camera movements, and the indie-ish song that the girl sang at the end, […]

Fake Spanish word of the day
February 26th, 2008 · 1 Comment
Freewaydita
I saw a sign that said “freeway detour” by the Howard Hughes exit, and when I said it out loud it sounded Spanish. So use this new word, pronounced free-way-dee-uh (as one word) to impress your friends that don’t speak Spanish.
“Man that Mexican restaurant has the best freewaydita’s in LA, someone tell LA Taco.”

Curl up in Dogtown with a good book

While the rest of the city received a gloomy, rainy day, the area between the Santa Monica pier and Venice Beach (Dogtown baby!) was nice and sunny. I hope I can return this to the library with sand in it.

Has anyone been to Tacos Por Favor in Santa Monica? I always ride by and want to stop in. What are the chances their veggie burritos are actually vegetarian friendly?

If you hover above a red-marked location of an incident, you can click on “comments” and see […]

Who are these guys coming to my door asking for money for the homeless?
February 25th, 2008 · No Comments
Really? I’m really going to give some stranger knocking on my door at 8:30pm some cash or a check trusting that he’ll go give it to homeless people? Really? Who’s falling for this bs?
