Well that was awful.
How many hipsters showed up to that show expecting to gain some cred by being able to leave that club saying “Man X was mindblowing.”
If anyone left saying that, shame on you. You are so far in denial that you’re telling lies to yourself. You need some alone time. You need to go sit in a dark closet for a while and talk to yourself, get to know yourself all over again. Get back to when you liked what you liked, not what you were supposed to like.
The vocals were out of tune for the whole set. Kinda pitchy dogg.
The guitar was pretty good though. Anyone else catch this?

Im just glad someone else felt the same way as me. Longest hour of screeching dog sounds Ive ever heard. Sounded like a wounded animal. John Doe wasn’t that great but at least he was better than her.

Saw them at the Spin show at Stubb’s and they were fantastic. Crowd loved them and they played with great energy. I was right in front of Billy Zoom and he was crisp and sounded great. Vocals were hard to hear, but I thought that was due to the PA being off to the sides in the large venue.

I venture to say that Exene had the flu.
I have seen X several times in the past few years and they sound great. She had an off night at SXSW.
