South Street Marketplace in Downtown Los Angeles

southstreetmarket.jpgMan, so let’s say you went to some really lame denim sale and decided to just keep walking around downtown. Eventually you’d find yourself in Chinatown, maybe in the Cathedral, and probably in the middle of the shot for a car commercial. But when you’re done sightseeing, you are going to be hungry, I mean like really hungry, I mean like “sure I’ll hit Subway for the second time today” hungry… and then you see it, the South Street Marketplace.

It’s like Mecca for hunger pangs. This place has Chinese, American, Mexican, and other culture’s foods that I can’t remember because my blood sugar was super low at the time. When I first moved here I thought that Downtown Los Angeles was a Ghost Town, but apparently not. Take a stroll down South Street, get married at the Guadalupe Wedding Chapel, window shop for bring green ball dresses, and then stop in for a sweet selection of walk-up counters. Did I mention you can order a can of beer? Yeah you can do that.
