Mark Your calendars guys! Rambo is back, and not the 60 year old, plastic face, fat Rambo of today, but the buffed out original Rambo of 1982 fame that I recall watching on VHS as a youth. Come-on guys, we were all jealous of that kid in our class who had that sweet Rambo knife, you know the one with the compass on the handled that opened up to carry fishing wire, matches, and more. I never owned one but a kid in my neighborhood did…man was it sweet. Maybe it was because his Dad was in Nam that he was able to have it, or maybe because his parents were getting a divorce, who knows, either way he had it, I didn’t, and it rocked.
Rambo: First Blood is Rated R (Obviously) and is playing for one show only on Thursday, May 15th at 7:30 pm at The Bridge: cinema de lux in west LA at the 405 and Howard Hughes. Tickets are $10 each. You can buy advanced seating here.

My dad is a bit of a redneck and used to take me to gun and knife shows in the 80’s. Well one year I’ll be darned if they didnt have official “Rambo” slaughter knifes. Yes, he bought me one. I was the happiest little boy in my neighborhood with an 8 inch blade at my side. Never got to use it though.
