It’s been over a year now of driving my 20 mile commute on the 405 South from the Valley to the LAX area and it’s totally starting suck ass. Ok, so it may only take me 45 minutes to drive it in the morning, but the nights are a minimum 1 hour all the way to 1 1/2 hours in the winter time when the sun set early. I desperately need to get a new job before Winter rolls around again! It’s too insane to think that I am wasting 2 hours of my life everyday in the car, that’s 10 hours a week, 40 hours a month! Not to mention I drive an SUV that gets 16 MPG. So driving 40 miles a day, 200 miles a week, 800 miles a month…at current gas prices of $3.80 a gallon that’s almost $50 a week in gas, $200 a month, $2,400 a year. My little brothers car isn’t even worth $2400! When oh when am I gonna get that super train over the hill? My Valley to LAX commute sucks!!!!

Time to buy a hybrid! Or buy some spanish cd’s and learn a 2nd language. You’ll be fluent in 6 months!

Exactly what I was going to say. You need to get a hybrid, or better yet, get a bike. That’ll keep you fit in addition to saving on the gas bill.

Ouch, i feel your pain, well only half your pain, takes me about half the times you quoted here in Denver, CO area. And no, thats not an invitation to move here!
