April 20th, 2008 · 2 Comments

The Girl brought this home from Ralphs today, great after-work cool-down wine. It’s in the $7 range, on the shelf above 3 Blind Moose. It’s lighter than you’d expect a Pinot to be, which may be a downside to wine connoisseurs, but refreshing to the average wine drinker. Not that I’m calling [...]

Dunkin’ Donuts news from the East Coast

April 18th, 2008 · 4 Comments

This one’s a shout back to the East Coast.  While we sit here in California and wait for the arrival of Dunkin’ Donuts, the classic Brighton, MA Dunkin’ Donuts sign has been torn down and replaced with a newer logo.

CA in IL! 5.2 earthquake in Illinois

April 18th, 2008 · 2 Comments

5.2 earthquake rocks Illinois! Now those Mid-Westerners know a little of what it’s like to be an Angeleno!  Although I missed the big Northridge earthquake in 1994, I have been here for many of the small ones and it’s still odd what you can get used to.

April 18th, 2008 · No Comments

Now I’m a little late getting this up (it was last Saturday) but I’m a new Enon fan. I know nothing about this band besides what I saw at Spaceland and what I read in Wikipedia, so bear with me. It seems their new stuff is very that guitar guy vocal heavy, with [...]
