Lou Pearlman Sentenced To 25 Years In Scam

Lou Perman Sentanced to 25 yearsLou Pearlman of Boy Band Stardom Fame was sentenced in Orlando today to 25 years in prison for fraud and conspiracy charges in connection with a decades-long investment scam. Once again bringing the (sometimes) seedy underbelly of the Entertainment Industry to the forefront! I’ll admit it, I watched Making The Band back in 2000, where Lou was on the scene to make these 5 kids famous with O-town. Well in the long run all he did was steal their money and now he’s paying for. 25 years in prison….DAMN! The judge also offered Pearlman a chance to reduce his sentence by one month for every $1 million he returns to investors. WTF! What kind of lame-ass incentive is that! Prisons are so over crowded nowadays that he’ll realistically only serve 5-10 years in prison and then the rest of the time in a half-way house or on probation. Don’t get me wrong, that will still suck, but what’s a month in the grand scheme of things. I bet Lou keep it hidden and in 10 years when he’s back on the street he’ll be back to living like a fat cat again.
