Lou Pearlman of Boy Band Stardom Fame was sentenced in Orlando today to 25 years in prison for fraud and conspiracy charges in connection with a decades-long investment scam. Once again bringing the (sometimes) seedy underbelly of the Entertainment Industry to the forefront! I’ll admit it, I watched Making The Band back in 2000, where Lou was on the scene to make these 5 kids famous with O-town. Well in the long run all he did was steal their money and now he’s paying for. 25 years in prison….DAMN! The judge also offered Pearlman a chance to reduce his sentence by one month for every $1 million he returns to investors. WTF! What kind of lame-ass incentive is that! Prisons are so over crowded nowadays that he’ll realistically only serve 5-10 years in prison and then the rest of the time in a half-way house or on probation. Don’t get me wrong, that will still suck, but what’s a month in the grand scheme of things. I bet Lou keep it hidden and in 10 years when he’s back on the street he’ll be back to living like a fat cat again.
