Angels’ stressball first baseman Casey Kotchman has just been traded to the Atlanta Braves for first baseman Mark Teixeira. Minor league pitcher Steven Marek has also been traded to the Atlanta Braves organization as part of the deal.
Apparently Casey was given the official word at Fenway Park while warming up for today’s game with the Red Sox.
Mark Teixeira is a switch-hitter with a .283 batting average who had plenty of eyes on him as the trade deadline approached.
