Earthquake covers Los Angeles, San Diego, and Las Vegas

July 29th, 2008 · 3 Comments

Anyone else feel it?  That was a RUMBLER!

At 11:42 am earthquake rolled through Los Angeles lasting about 8 seconds.  There goes half the traffic!

The earthquake was a 5.8 epicenter in Chino Hills in San Bernadino County

Cell phones are down, and the US Government’s earthquake site isn’t loading, probably due to a crazy amount of people trying to access it right now.  The quake was felt from Los Angeles, to San Diego, and parts of Las Vegas.

It’s been reported that tall buildings from downtown LA to El Segundo swayed during the earthquake.

The ground runway radar is now down at LAX, so flights will be delayed.

Yeah baby. I love me some earthquakes. it was a 5.8 in Chino Hills. I am in Santa Monica and I had a great view of my whole building moving.

No injuries or damage reported so far although LA Times has a picture of an overturned garbage box in Santa Mmonica.

I followed you back her from my blog where you commented on New Jersey. I think y’all are crazy to live in Earthquake central, but you probably think the same of me for living in Flashflood alley. Do you think there are any safe places to live?
