John O’Groats on Pico in West LA

I checked out John O’Groats on Pico for some breakfastization and I’m interested to hear what other people’s opinions are.  It seemed all good to me based on a few factors:

1. I’ll eat anywhere with an “O apostrophe” in the name.
2. There are a lot of old people here, old people know where the good breakfast is.
3. The decor is kinda cool.  You walk into a room that looks like your aunt’s house during a New England Thanksgiving dinner, to the right is a little diner-type room, and to the left is a cozy dining area.

Our waitress was friendly, that’s her in the top right.  There were no frills, and the old people here are genuine old people, not Santa Monica old ladies that grow their white hair really long and wear performance fleece and stretch pants in the middle of August.   Nono, John O’Groats attracts the real deal.

We asked the the folks on Twitter what they thought of John O’Groats and here’s the feedback we received:

Tom Burke YoungTwerk @LAsnark John O’Groats is great… I had the chocolate chip pancakes when I went there a few months ago… I eat breakfast like a child
JenHen jenhen @LAsnark Yes! One of my favorite places in LA.
JB domaine547 @LAsnark yes, used to love John O’Groats but not so much anymore. They still have good bacon though.
