2 weekends ago, the gang and I headed over to one of our favorite LA stops The Red Lion Tavern in Silverlake. We had a great time as usual but were told that they had didn’t have any giant glass boots to drink out of! That was some serious bad news, especially since the only reason we go there now is to pass around a giant boot filled with beer so that we feel like.. uh, men? I don’t know. Drinking a giant glass boot of beer on your own would be a little more manly I guess, but I don’t think that much liquid is supposed to fit into your body at once.
Anyway, I’m heading back there for a friend’s birthday and it will be a serious letdown if they still don’t have any boots! If anyone’s heading over there please let me know if the Red Lion Tavern has picked up more boots, or better yet, join me in calling them to ask them if they have boots again until they do go out and pick some up.
