Production has begun on the new daytime court show – “THE HOLLYWOOD
JUDGE” - and the producers are currently looking for real stories and
real disputes to feature on this exciting new LA-based court show.
Researchers are currently scouring local court house files and hitting the
streets talking to people in and around Los Angeles searching for unique,
REAL small claims court cases, with a twist. “The thing that makes this
different from all the other court shows is that it focuses on cases that
are L.A.- or Hollywood-oriented,” says a show representative. “So the
juicier the case, the better.”
“However, the case does not have to be filed in a small claims court,”
adds the show’s representative, “If you have a dispute with someone,
someone owes you money or even if you feel they have slandered your name -
the Hollywood Judge is interested in hearing the case.”
“So if you are trying to track down your money from a deadbeat by bringing
it to the show, and the judge decides in your favor, you’ll get your
money. Or, if you owe someone money, and you want them to stop bothering
you, it’s a good way to make the problem go away.”
Potential cases could include a sibling dispute over an unpaid loan given
in good faith. Other case examples are: a fight with your ex’s family over
money or property, as well as an actor who feels taken advantage of by a
photographer, or a hairstylist who gave you a bad bleach job, and you want
them to pay for what they did to you.
“THE HOLLYWOOD JUDGE” is slated to tape 40-episodes this fall for
national syndication, with a projected airdate of spring 2009. Judge Mark
Fiedel will be sitting behind the bench.
