From the Knitting Factory:
On Saturday, we have a bit of rock history coming through the club. Spider Stacy will be joining the Filthy Thieving Bastards on our stage, much as he was a crucial part of the recording of the group’s latest BYO release, I’m a Son of a Gun. Stacy may not be a household name, but he should be. He was one of the co-founders of the Irish rock band to beat all Irish rock bands, the Pogues. He named the band, and along with Shane McGowan was the vocal force of the band. No less an authority than Joe Strummer said, “Spider Stacy, never short of a word. A great wit and the personality of the Pogues”
Don’t miss this show, with house favorites Old Man Markley.
