It was just announced today that Home Depot to Close it’s Expo Design Center Locations, eventually laying off 7,000 people nation wide (2% of it’s total workforce). I frequented the Expo Design Center in Westwood when I bought my first place 6 years ago but after realizing there are so many cheaper alternatives out there I never went back. I can see why they are closing especially in this down economy. Read the official press release here on the Home Depot site.

this is awful news. now there is nowhere free to park in westwood while i hit up the bars. the old expo validation trick was a standard of mine.
