Is Dunkin’ Donuts FINALLY coming to California? The chances are looking better and better every day.
The facts are this:
- Dunkin’ Donuts is advertising like crazy in Los Angeles. I see them advertising during major sporting events and popular national television shows. I’ve also seen their banner ads on a local food blog.
- All the talk in the comments below point to Dunkin Donuts coming to California soon. I hear this rumor, you hear that, eventually it has to add up to truth. Share your rumor with the LA Snark community below!
- Click on the photo to the upper right. Their Twitter account says that the are coming to California “relatively soon.” Dunkin’ Donuts wouldn’t lie to us via their Twitter account now would they? It has to be happening… finally.
To get this going even faster, why don’t you open a Dunkin’ Donuts in Los Angeles?
Hear me out now: We transplants from the East Coast have adapted to your environment very quietly and politely. We restrict the number of times we beep at you when you drive like a moron in the rain, we don’t make fun of your tweezed eyebrows until you leave the men’s room, and we pretend to have heard about that show you were an extra on.
Do us this one favor: Open a Dunkin’ Donuts in Los Angeles.
I know they were out here before, and for one reason or another it didn’t work out and they all closed, but let’s try it again. You want a sure thing? Put your Dunkin’ Donuts franchise within walking distance of Sonny McLean’s, the Boston bar in Santa Monica. Business will boom, trust me.
Just for the record, Sonny’s does serve Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, and you can buy the beans/grinds at Ralphs (and they’re more expensive than a lot of the other brands, which is unbelievable to us former East Coasters.)
Now listen, you may have doubts in your mind, I know that you have plans to lounge on the beach or travel around the world after you made your cool million designing that web application widget new dimension of online commerce thing, but hear me out a little longer, this is the best part:
Running a Dunkin’ Donuts is easy.
Trust me, I spent 20 years going to Dunkin’ Donuts every day, I know what it takes. Get 5 15 year old girls, they can be of any level of intelligence, somehow I think having braces is almost a requirement, teach them the names of the donuts (or just make sure they can read when they turn and look at them), and then don’t worry about whether or not they’ll make a good barista. Tell them to add a mound of sugar and a half cup of cream to every “regular” coffee and they’ll be good to go.
For God’s sake people, China is getting 100 Dunkin’ Donuts’, CAN WE PLEASE GET JUST ONE?
I’ll do some legwork for you to get you started. Start here.
From the site:
Dunkin’ Donuts Is Now Expanding!
There are more than 7,000 Dunkin’ Donuts worldwide in 30 countries. In the United States, there are more than 5,200 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants located in 36 states. Our expansion into new areas around the country will open up exciting new franchise investment frontiers for operators and investors.
THAT COULD BE US!
I’m not like you, I didn’t re-invent the wheel and my last name isn’t iPhone, I just know what I, and many, many, other consumers like. We like poorly mixed coffee with deadly amounts of sugar. Why won’t you give us what we need?
Bring Dunkin’ Donuts to California!!!!

OMG! I totally agree. I buy the ground stuff at Ralphs (no apostrophe) and while it wakes me up in the morning, I miss those cups. And those lids. And those braces.
on Feb 11th, 2008
I have the ground stuff too, but I even have dreams about Dunkin’ Donuts. My next trip back east is in three weeks and I’m just going to binge on croissandwiches.
on Feb 13th, 2008
PLEASE open Dunkin Donuts in CA!! I’d be there every single day!!! My next trip back to east coast is this weekend, and every time I go I hit up the Dunkins every day.
on Feb 19th, 2008
I miss iced coffee… There’s nothing that even comes close on the West Coast!
on Feb 22nd, 2008
They need to sell their cups out in LA, at least then you can brew your own and almost feel like you picked it up from a 15 yr old girl at the drive thru.
on Feb 23rd, 2008
I moved from the Northeast to Texas and also miss Dunkin’ Donuts. There is only one in Plano (north of Dallas) and I go there twice a week. If it was on my way to work, I would stop everyday. DD says they will open more stores in the next few years. I hate Krispy Kreme.
on Mar 8th, 2008
I am addressing this to those out there who have the money and ability to open Dunkin Donuts franchises in the Southern CA region.
First of all, the fact that there are currently no Dunkin Donuts in the Los Angeles area is a joke. Seriously. It is the second largest city in the country and there are no DD’s.
Secondly, if I had the money I’d be all over this opportunity. It’s really rather insulting to those of us that live here. The Los Angeles area is NOT comprised of a bunch of Health Food Nuts. That is a stereotype from the 80’s. It’s done. Over. We have fat and unhealthy people here too!!!
Thirdly, we seem to have McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s, and In ‘n Out. They are ALL doing fine. And they all serve similar menu items. So your “fear” of Krispy Kreme and Starbucks is really very very foolish.
And before you even think it, Donuts and Coffee are NOT a niche market!
Honestly, the lack of DD’s in Southern CA proves that the people who can make this happen (those with the $$$) are frankly chicken. They are showing they don’t have the balls to compete with Starbucks or Krispy Kreme.
Donald Trump would never hire you.
on Mar 8th, 2008
Well said William. I learned at Sonny McLean’s that in order to buy a Dunkin Donuts franchise that you need to agree to open 5 stores. I’m sure this is slowing people down, but people are starting to open them all over the midwest! From what I’ve seen, there are people with money in LA. Why the F haven’t Matt Damon or Ben Affleck opened 5 Dunkin’ Donuts’ out here? They seemed to be all about it in Good Will Hunting. Dunkin Donuts in California! Do it!
on Mar 16th, 2008
I just heard a rumor that there is a Dunkin Donuts scheduled to open in Santa MOnica. Can anyone confirm that this is true? I just called a friend in NY to bring some DD hazelnut ground coffee back to LA with her.
on Mar 16th, 2008
You can actually buy Dunkin Donuts hazelnut coffee at Ralphs.. they also have cinnamon and pumpkin spice available. I haven’t heard that rumor but that’d be great!
on Mar 31st, 2008
They have Dunkin Donuts in the freakin’ Philippines but not a single store in Southern California?!?!
on Apr 4th, 2008
YES! Please bring Dunkin to CALI!! Especially SF…let’s show these SF coffee snobs what DUnkin is all about!! I’m from here, lived in NY for 3 years and now, can’t stand getting up in the morning because there’s NO DUNKIN donuts…Dunkin is ALL good times and I want the coconut coffee (light n sweet please) back!
PLEASE!!
on Apr 20th, 2008
Just got back from Boston. I had the “vanilla creme” donut which they should call “birthday cake” because it is piped full of buttercream frosting (yikes). What makes the coffee so great is that it tastes like coffee smells. It is the Budweiser or Marlboro of the coffee world. I am thinking of opening my own donut chain called “Beantown” and I would basically steal all the recipes/products from DD, like “McDaniel’s” in “Coming to America”. Well I’ve said too much and used to many godamn quotations…OUT!
on Apr 28th, 2008
I agree completely! I also feel that their commercials should STOP AIRING IN CALIFORNIA. It’s driving me crazy. And they shouldn’t be allowed to say “America runs on Dunkin’” when they have no stores in the most populated state in the nation.
on Apr 30th, 2008
NOT JUST LA… BRING IT TO SAN FRANCISCO!!!!! I agree with Kate! Stop airing your “America runs on Dunkin” commercials in CA. It’s not fair until we actual have some!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Listen up you f*ckin east coasters who transplant yourselve out here among us “natives”. I’m here to tell you all to shut the f*ck up with your whining and bitching about how “bad” it is out here. Know your place and be quiet and appreciative that we let you walk amongst us. If it’s so great where you came from, why are we not moving there in droves? I’ll tell you why, because you and your city suck ass and you know it. So F-you to the 100th power and understand you are all 2nd rate douchebags.
on May 11th, 2008
I have to agree with the poster who took you east coast folks to task. There really is an obnoxious quality to your observations about life here in Los Angeles. You bask in the quality of life that our fine enviroment provides, yet jump at every chance to critique us Angelenos. Trust me when I tell you that we hold a level of contempt towards you and your intolerent tones. I will continue to hope for some sense of evolution on your part. Until then, Fuck all of you who continue to complain about us when the obvious remedy is to move back to that ancient, dirty, racist, cold, intolerent culture you seem to find so endearing.
P.S. A toast to you and your brethren sucking my ass.
on May 12th, 2008
Just so we’re all clear here, “Setter” and “Louis” are the same poster. Apparently the natives aren’t too ip-address savvy.
Ok carry on
on May 21st, 2008
We really need to bring DD out here. I am CA native but lived in Boston briefly, every morning I would grab a medium vanilla iced coffee (even in 20 degree weather) on the orange line before work. Although, I now commute 30 miles to work, I wouldn’t mind having an iced coffee with me on the way work. PLEASE PLEASE I beg the Dunkin Donuts gods, bring one to L.A.!
on May 23rd, 2008
i will drive there every day!
french vanilla extra cream extra sugar.
*sigh* just got back from NY this morning, had a large on my way to the airport and one while getting on the plane. its raining and I would kill for another.

I NEED Dunkin Donuts. They said they are not coming out to California until 2010. Why? They would make so much money here if they opened up just 1 location. I think the Hollywood/Highland Center would be a great location.
on May 30th, 2008
I actually lie to the folks and tell them to pick me up a half hour later, so I can enjoy a cup of coffee and a two donuts at Logan… Last time I lived in LA they had a DD in conjunction with a gas station….duh that’s why they didn’t work here. WE need a DD…fast…..
on Jun 4th, 2008
We used to have Dunkin Donuts in California. I can remember it growing up in San Diego. Slowly they all left us, I think this was far before they were contenders in the coffee game, just as it was before ‘Bucks was slinging beans.
If you really crave the DD, just hop on o a jetBlue flight. I had a cup just last weekend on my way to Sacramento, and the weekend before on my way to Boston… though that just led to more DD.
on Jul 4th, 2008
Please open Dunkin Donuts in Los Angeles, I hope you listen to us, Thanks
on Jul 16th, 2008
PLEASE open Dunkin Donuts in LA. It’s one thing not to have them here — I’ve finally accepted that I had to trade it for the permanent sunshine here in SoCal — but must you run TV ads taunting us with DD’s deliciousness? Do the right thing…open a Dunkin Donuts in LA!!

i am very happy to announce that there are currently 3 DD locations in LA, one in Torrance, in Hawthorne ave, one in Whittier and the last in San Vincente Blvd.
on Sep 9th, 2008
You’re looking at some outdated information Yana, the closest Dunkin’ Donuts to LA is in Las Vegas.
on Sep 9th, 2008
ok, i went to http://www.snagajob.com, they are hiring crew members in Torrance, as of RIGHT NOW, to work at the Dunkin Donuts shop there. Not Baskin, but DD. I have not been there yet, but as soon as i can make the drive from San Diego, i will!!!

Oh,and the directions for that store are 20022 Hawthorne blvd, Torrance.

Who let that San Fran wuss into the LA blog. Get back to your boring cloudy days, we don’t need your overcast curmudgeonry here.
on Oct 29th, 2008
OK, I’m a transplant to CA from the east coast too. I love LA and I love SF. Right now I’m living in the San Jose suburbs. Stop the north-south infighting crap! We’re all Californians. Those of us who relocated from the east did so to enjoy all that this amazing state offers. I’m NOT going back - but, when I visit family in Boston, you can be sure that I visit DD. I wish that they’d open some shops here. Be kind to each other, folks.
on Nov 8th, 2008
Just an FYI I have been in contact w/ Corporate DnD and they are planning a boom w/ stores to open shortly. That is all they could tell me. As you can tell Dnd just opened new stores in AZ so they are moving there way west. I love all the teaser adds on TV and in the newspapwer for Dnd.
on Nov 18th, 2008
Dunkin’ Donuts is not allowing the tough economic conditions to hamper its expansionary efforts. Although lenders are now demanding between 10 percent and 30 percent down payments to secure new franchise deals, Dunkin’ Donuts plans on significantly expanding its operations in Las Vegas, Phoenix and the Dallas area, which alone will see 100 new locations over the next three years. However, it will be at least three years before Dunkin’ Donuts attempts to expand into California, which has been the most successful market for Starbucks.
on Nov 18th, 2008
You’re wasting your time if you think DD is going to penetrate the California market. Just take a look at Krispy Kreme. Californian’s are too health conscience to demand donuts and know good coffee so they won’t want DD’s weak coffee. Stick to the rest of the U.S.
And, FYI, there are more coffee places than just Starbucks in California. Peets Coffee and Tea is a great chain that serves REAL coffee and there are plenty of other Independent Coffeehouses.
on Nov 18th, 2008
Well SF you’re completely wrong, but that fact that you insist on insisting people visit local coffeehouses is cute. Your capitalization is awesome too.
on Nov 18th, 2008
Dunkin Donuts is the best, I’ve been in NorCal all my life and I’m hoping D&D makes it’s way out here. The coffee is AMAZING.
on Nov 18th, 2008
Your logic has one fatal flaw, Craig. Northern California is not ANY DONUT land. Donuts are so 80s. The coffee from DD tastes like hot water with a coffee bean thrown in for a hint of flavor. Never gonna fly in NorCal - home of the best coffee in the U.S., along with the Pacific Northwest. Sorry to let your hopes down.
on Nov 18th, 2008
Hmm, Dramee seems to disagree. You’re 2 down sfliberal.
on Nov 18th, 2008
People in SF don’t like donuts? Since when? Tell that to my office on our weekly donuts day. Sheesh.
on Nov 18th, 2008
Facts are against all of you. There are barely any DDs in Northern California. Let me know when there are any. I have a feeling that I will be waiting a long time.
on Nov 18th, 2008
Dunkin Donuts in California in at least 3 years.
on Nov 18th, 2008
Liberals speak their minds, which I am doing right now. Go to a protest. CHAINS, especially Northeastern DONUT chains, are not welcome in Northern California. We like gourmet, organic, fresh, healthy food. Go poison the rest of the country, but not our part. And we love GOOD coffee, not donut store crap. Just take a look:

I’d kill for some non-overly-bitter coffee out here, bring Dunkin Donuts to California!
on Nov 23rd, 2008
I’m tired of San Francisco trying to be little Seattle, let’s get some real working-class American coffee out here.
on Nov 25th, 2008
Agreed, SF coffee is bitter, much like the people that can’t make their way out of that area. I lived there for the first 24 years of my life and had to get out. Those clouds get to you after a while. As you can see it makes some people pretty moody
Dunkin Donuts coffee is great, especially the large iced coffee in summer. Throw in a Bavarian Cream and I’m good for the afternoon.
on Dec 1st, 2008
I agree 100 and 10 %. I just moved out here and am craving my morning Dunkin Donuts coffee cake muffin. I haven’t ate a muffin yet that compares to dunkin donuts muffins. PLEASE bring Dunkin Donuts to Los Angeles!!!!!

I moved from boston to san diego and I never thaught I would miss dunkin donuts so much.Im so sick of paying 4$ for a coffe and having to make it myself.I just want to have my large ice coffe cream extra suger and maybe a boston creme or some munchkins now and then. Please come to san diego I beg you
on Dec 22nd, 2008
Glad this post is getting such a good response! There are so many of us that can’t bare to throw down money at “FourBucks” and can barely take the bitterness of the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. Supposedly Dunkin’ is coming to save us in the next few years.
The fact that there are like 4 Dunkin’ Donuts locations in Vegas does give you another excuse to to Sin Cityl, what better way to stay awake all night than after a giant Dunkin Iced Coffee?
on Dec 29th, 2008
I lived in Maine for 2 years. The capital city of Augusta (a small city of 18,000) has 6 Dunkin’ Donuts. I don’t eat donuts, but I LOVE their iced coffee. It’s bargain-priced, too, compared to what you’d get at some of the fancier locations. Upon returning to the even-smaller city of 13,000 where I live in northern CA, I was surprised to find there are NO Dunkin’ Donuts here! I miss it!
on Jan 3rd, 2009
Have had six one pound bags of DD delivered to my house in CA for the last four years, but really miss the in-store experience and the cups. Hats off to LASnark for getting the discussion going and sfliberal should just piss-off.
on Jan 3rd, 2009
Thanks for the comment SF Realist! Do they sell Dunkin Donuts grinds in the supermarkets up in San Francisco?
on Jan 4th, 2009
Oh man … I’m thinking about moving to San Diego, but if there aren’t any Dunks out that way, the deal might be off. I spent a year in New Zealand jonesing for Dunks’ coffee (hell, any good coffee for that matter, but that’s another issue). What good are sun and surf without a Great Big One with cream and 2 Splendas?
on Jan 9th, 2009
Costco carried 2.5lbs bags of ground DD at $11.99 for a short period of time this year (they stopped around October). Target carries a 24oz bag at the same price now, and Walgreens carries 12oz bags at $6.95 — all of these are better value than shipping via UPS from DD in the east (they stopped using USPS last year)
The best deal? Get everyone you know who comes out west to pick up a couple of 1lb bags at Logan Airport
on Jan 16th, 2009
I just let out a big sigh towards DD. They just sent me an ad with their inauguration special. They really have no excuse for not having any locations in SoCal considering they have a Dunkin Brands corporate office (they own Baskin Robbins) near the Glendale/Burbank border. We should stage a protest in front of that office.
on Jan 19th, 2009
I grew up in Northern Va and DC and I have been missing DnD since I moved to NorCal in the mid 90s - 13 years with NO Dunkin Donuts! Now I’m seeing all these teaser ads for free flat bread with a coffee and was ready to jump in my car and drive the hour and a half to Sac (google maps said there was one there, but alas, no Dunkins). Why are they advertising on a NorCal TV station if there isn’t a single location in the state? It really just makes me want to cry a little bit..
on Jan 19th, 2009
Thanks Missing Dunks, unfortunately the closest D&D’s are in Vegas. There’s like 3 or 4 of them out there though.
on Jan 19th, 2009
I saw that - but Vegas is nowhere near me. While I’m always down for Vegas, it doesn’t explain why DnD is advertizing in my area. They got my hopes up and then crushed them .. and I have no Munchkins to get me through..
on Jan 19th, 2009
I feel your pain Missing Dunks, trust me. I start every morning with Ralphs-bought Dunkin Donuts coffee grinds, but it’s just not the same. Subscribe to these comments (check the Notify me box below) and someone will post as soon as we have news. They must be planning something if they’re spending the money to advertise out here. Plus they had a promotion in Santa Monica last summer.

I recently spoke to the manager at one of the Las Vegas stores (the one inside the outlet mall), and he said that they are planning to open one in San Diego by 2010. Which is awesome, because I live in San Diego. And will go daily.
He also gave me some Dunkin cups to take home, they get used daily!
Love it!

Oh man that’s good news A5RoadDogg, thanks for the tip. We’re being overwhelmed with Dunkin Donuts ads in LA. I even saw banner ads on a local LA food blog.
on Jan 21st, 2009
We went to Boston for the first time in October and got addicted to Dunkin. I’d love to see a Dunkin in southern California, preferably in my area of Long Beach. LA doesn’t need anymore coffee shops, but middle working class Long Beach residents could sure use a Dunkin! We like cheap coffee!
I’ve been seeing adds like crazy too and I’d really like a CA store soon!
on Jan 27th, 2009

2. Friendly’s
3. D’Angelos
4. How about a Newport Creamery..i Could go for an Awful Awful

5. The 99?
on Feb 22nd, 2009
I just want to add to the throngs of people who want DD in CA. I’m a transplanted native of Connecticut living in LA, and I miss DD almost every day.
To anyone who thinks that DD can’t co-exist in LA, SF, or anywhere that the natives are only into healthy, natural, taste-free food: you are wrong. You can drive by a few DDs while on your way wherever you’re going, it won’t kill you. Just let the rest of us have our fix. So, it’s bad for me, I might die sooner, blah blah blah. At least I’ll die happy, with DD crumbs on my face!
on Feb 22nd, 2009
Jon-
the 99 would be awesome as well.
Chuck-
The thing that pisses me off about the “healthy LA” argument is that there are plenty of fast food restaurants in LA. Last I heard Jack In The Box was about the worst thing you could put in your body. There is no logical reason why DD isn’t here.
on Feb 25th, 2009
Shut up! that would make me so happy. I miss their Bavarian Creams and my mom loves their coffee
on Feb 26th, 2009
i think they should have some in orange county or at least somewhere around it like la because i’ve seen DD its pretty swanky and its healthy but there are food on the menu that is not healthy but jack in the box is worse then DD
on Feb 26th, 2009
Scott -
Good point about other fast food places already in abundance here in SoCal, although I’m not sure why Jack in the Box would be any worse than, say, McDonalds or Wendys. Furthermore, there are already hundreds of donut places here, though none of them is as good as DD!
on Feb 27th, 2009
I am flying into O’Hare tomorrow afternoon. You can bet your ass DD is the first place I am going.
on Feb 28th, 2009
Very cool, Scott. I’m going to be in Florida in late March. Any guesses as to where I’m going every day? Oh, and Friendly’s at least once, too!
on Mar 1st, 2009
Ha, I’m from Boston (Saugus). I live in LA now. There are no DDs out here, but, really? DD is, alright… at best. I feel like Winchell’s and Yum Yum are basically the same. The bagel sandwiches are really good.
What was with the hostile “LA” native being all ridiculous. I have trouble believing you even live out here, chill out bro, as ‘us’ Angelenos would say…. Are you insulted that people from the east like DD? Strange Starbucks propaganda.
on Mar 5th, 2009
I’ve been looking for dunkin’ donuts around the san francisco area and haven’t seen any. I went to florida and finally got to taste some dunkin’. I’d love to have dunkin’ in sf cali. I don’t like krispy kreme because I’ve always loved dunkin’ donuts !!! bring dunkin’ to daly city.
on Mar 9th, 2009
Can we talk reality here. Dunkin donuts is a woosie organization. They pulled out do to the CFIL. They are afraid of being branded a scam as they cannot perform up to the standards of the California laws. This is pure Fuckery. More California lawyers now ruining our fucking cup of joe. Dunkin Donuts doesn’t have the balls to stand up to the Man. Run, loosers. And take you damn good coffe with you. I’m not bitter. I’m just pissed I have to drive to Vegas to get my fucking Dunkin Donuts.
on Mar 11th, 2009
wow gary sounds so mature*rolls eyes*
who cares if they will or not theyre good why don’t you just try it before you start knocking it.
on Mar 11th, 2009
Hey darc,
Suck my balls. Are you that stupid. I’m telling you why they left, not knocking them.
on Mar 13th, 2009
dont you have your own balls to suck though?
on Mar 18th, 2009
I was born in nyc, lived in philly, and now in sf. After seeing all these new (and, frankly, annoying) tv ads i searched and was surprised that no DDs are here. Krispy Kreme is awful - 5x too much sugar. Is a proper chocolate cake donut really too much to ask?
on Mar 18th, 2009
yeah yeah Dunkin Donuts. Sure. Whatever. GET ME SOME HARPOON IPA OUT HERE…FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! just sayin… Tired of these CA “beer elitists” talkin about how the best beer in the country is made in CA. Bullshit.
on Mar 19th, 2009
The best beer is definetely not from CA, because what it takes for good beer is good water, and good tasting water is definetely not from California. Maine, Vermont and the Rockies win this one easy.
on Mar 25th, 2009
Been seeing the DD’s ad on tv advertising not just the coffee but also the donuts. Are they now FINALLY coming to CA? Anyone knows anything about this?
on Mar 26th, 2009
Born & raised in New Jersey, I grew up with Dunkin Donuts now living in CA, and the only thing you people are really craving is the nostalgia of it. The donuts are good, but run-of-the-mill. Absolutely NOTHING special about them. I do like the toasted coconut, but I wouldn’t travel miles to get one.
This DD hype is reminiscent of what happened to Krispy Kreme - banking on California transplants to generate excitement. Big mistake.
on Mar 27th, 2009
i’d drive to arizona to get one lol

Dunkin Donuts has to be coming to California, possibly L.A.. What other reason would they have to show ads here, this isn’t part of their target audience. I hope it’s really really soon. I moved from the east coast last year and I stuffed my face with bagel sandwiches over winter break when I went back. I NEEDS MY GLAZED DONUTS AND EVERYTHING BAGELS!

I’m a little surprised that until this comment - #97 - that the word ‘Chicago’ hasn’t appeared on this page. It isn’t just the east coast, us Chicago transplants were also born and raised on the stuff & miss it poorly. It’s unimaginable that any large city doesn’t have one, let along an entire state. The amount of Chicago natives who live out here alone will make it worth their while.
Live up to your slogan of the ’80s and ’90s - it’s time to make the donuts!

Yeah I’ve been hearing this for almost 10 years & I’ll only believe it when I see those beautiful logo colors in person. I won’t hold my breathe though since they were suppossed to open Chik-fil-A in Burbank about 5 years ago. Still waiting.
Anyway, all east coasters should know that buying Dunkin’ coffee in the grocery is like buying white castle there. NOT THE SAME AT ALL!
I just hope that the thin & crappy LA water doesn’t make it bitter & burnt like it is everywhere else. Finally, the only decent coffee now is Coffee Bean but I will not pay $4-$5 for coffee anymore. Give me light & sweet for like $2.
BRING IN DUNKIN’!!!!!!!!!!!

Man, my wife is originally from the Bronx and she has enjoyed DD since she was allowed to drink it, especially in HS and college where I could swear people drank it’s awesome brew more than water. Since she has has relocated to Cali she craves and I mean CRAVES DD coffee and donuts. We just came back from Vegas where they have a free standing store near the Las Vegas Outlet mall and one kiosk stand in the mall. It’s a ritual to go there once even twice to fulfill her fond memories of the past. I have to admit, me being from Cali and never having DD until I got to NY it is the BEST coffee hands down! Please, please, bring this can to Southern Cali. We need some quality coffee not that crap that Starbucks peddles as good. If people have one cup of DD coffee they WILL be hooked, I guarantee it!

I agree. PLEASE open a Dunkin Donuts in California!! Well, you should open a few of them considering that I live in the Central Valley and we always get everything here last
I grew up in MI and I miss dunkin donuts so much. In a military town, where at least half the people here are transplants, dunkin donuts would be a WELCOME addition to our little corner of the world.

Dunkin Donuts is coming to Cali. Just saw this on their twitter page (/DunkinDonuts). Posted on May 19, 2009.
@DunkinDonuts - Oh why can’t you be in California. I want a Boston Creme, Strawberry Frosted with Sprinkles, and a cup of coffee!
Their response:
@lawrencegee Oh, we kin’ be there (Calif) — and, we will. Mark my words. You just gotta wait. Appreciate your patience.

I am from New England and all I can say is I hate starbucks, the food is over priced the coffee is nasty and waaaay to strong. You need $7 to get a coffee and breakfast. I miss the yummy, easy, cheap dunkin from back home. I search them out whenever I leave the state. I LOVE dunkin. I would do anything to have one in San Diego.
