This Saturday is Pasadena’s 27th Annual Black History Parade


Pasadena will host the 27th Annual Black History Parade this Saturday, February 21 starting at 10 a.m. at Charles White Park.  The Park is located at Ventura Street at Fair Oaks Avenue in Altadena and will end at Robinson Park, located at 1081 N. Fair Oaks Avenue in Pasadena, California. A family festival will take place following the parade at Robinson Park from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. and will include live music, food, information booths, and a black history exhibition.

Themed “In Our Lifetime, Linking Our Past to Our Changing Future,” this year’s parade Grand Marshall will be Lena Kennedy, a political consultant, community activist and a member of the National Finance Committee for the Obama for America Campaign. Kennedy led the organization of four successful fundraisers in Pasadena for then-Sen. Barack Obama.  For more information call 626-744-7300.
