Oscar Winners Leaked?

Can this really be legitimate, just heard this via twitter from our friend @JasonCalacanis the CEO of Mahalo .com.

I would assume memo’s like these don’t exist, specifically for this reason along…the Oscar Winners being leaked.  This could be HUGE!  Sify says the Oscar winner list is a fraud. But could the Academy just be covering their butts on this one.  Only time will tell.

    For example, Ben Burtt wasn't even nominated for Best Sound Mixing for The Dark Knight... LOL
  • Really? Well guess only an Oscar Guru would know that. Not being "in the biz" I would not have caught that. thanks for the heads-up. It's funny someone took the time to compile a fake list and "leak" it.

  • It's a fake, I guess. The mainstream media mags are not touching this story. If it had been real, it would have been all over the news.
  • But keep in mind the main stream media didn't pick up the Edwards affair either for months. It was the Enquirer who broke it and we were blogging about it on The Snark that day. Something to think about. HMMMMMM.

    Hm well TMZ reported on the leaked list and they said they have word that it's bogus. But who knows.

    I am still surprised Sean Penn won over Mickey Rourke since Mikey won all the other awards this year. Kudos to Penn for a great acceptance speech. Wonder if viewership was up over last year's record low...dubbed "worst year ever" by Comic Book Guy.
  • funny that the top 5 honors were indeed right, but the sound mixing, Iron Man award, etc wasn't. Looks like someone was just a good guesser
