Death Cab For Cutie at The Hollywood Bowl

What a great way to end a great weekend.  I think 4th of July is taking over as my favorite holiday (sorry Presidents Day.)  Tonight was the first time I’ve seen Death Cab live and the first time I’ve been to the Hollywood Bowl.  I’ve heard people rave about the Hollywood Bowl since I landed in LA and it lived up to the hype.   Ben and Co. played a band-only set, and were then joined by the LA Philharmonic.   There were some volume issues when those French horns jumped in, and I’m pretty sure Ben was playing in the wrong key for Sound of Settling, but it ended with a bang, as you can see above.  I’ll be back at The Bowl for the Beastie Boys on Sep. 24.  Very much looking forward to it.  Oh and as far as parking goes, it’s not bad if you can walk a ways.  Just park on a side street off Highland, in one of the neighborhoods.  Actually don’t, that’s where I’m parking.
