There’s a reason I go to Abbot Kinney only once a year. It’s a crazy land filled with pomaded men in starchy embroidered dress shirts, girls that appear to be pantsless but are really just pushing the limits of how short a skirt can get, and drunk homeless guys trying to make their way down a crowded sidewalk on a bicycle. This gets amplified on First Fridays.
If you can wrestle your way down the sidewalk (you can cut into the street but lazy cops will just yell at you from afar and tell you to get back on the sidewalk) you will find one of the few down to earth oasises on Abbot Kinney, Abbots Pizza Company. The price is right, the toppings are awesome, and the staff is super friendly even when there’s an all night mad rush of drunk people. I will continue to visit Abbot’s Pizza Company on my yearly visits to Abbot Kinney.
