These aren’t easy times for Californians, and in not-so-easy times it’s easy to feel frustrated with the way political issues are handled. “Well just hold on there for a second young buck” says the Twitter-savvy Governator (he didn’t say that), “I’m open to hearing your ideas on how to fix CA! Send your ideas to me via Twitter!” (I call that paraphrasing.)
It’s true, Governor Schwarzenegger, the man who’s poster I had taped to the back of my door until my mom took it down because I was afraid of being in the room alone with him, is encouraging Californians to share their ideas about how we might get California out of this rut. In an interview with Mashable.com, the Governor says that he will be actively monitoring #MyIdea4CA messages for ideas on education to water management.
To submit an idea, you just need to type a message on Twitter and hashtag it #MyIdea4CA. WHAT’S A HASHTAG? A hashtag allows you to view Twitter posts (or “tweets” – let’s just catch you up on all the Twitter jargon now ok grandma) as a somewhat cohesive conversation. For example, you can follow the #MyIdea4CA conversation by visiting http://search.twitter.com and searching for #MyIdea4CA
Or you can just click here: http://search.twitter.com/search?q=%23myidea4ca
Also, the person that can solve California’s problems in 140 characters or less gets a signed laserdisc of Red Sonja.
