How to embed video in Google Wave

by Jon on October 30, 2009

Click on the “insert link” button on the wave toolbar.  Paste/type the link into the “link” section and press okay.  Then click on the light bulb that appears to the right of the link and select embed.  Voila!

This was frustrating me so I figured I’d offer up an answer when I finally found it.

Thank you, I was wondering about that. It seems like there should be a button for embedding video links. But I'm sure that will come in time.

Thank you for the tip! They need to make this a one step process.

Looks like this only works for Youtube vids. Anyone notice otherwise? There’s another method to embed video using an html editor. Google “html for wave” to get the URL and add it as a gadget; then you can use video embed codes.
