The trendy shops in the premiere three-story shopping center of Brentwood Gardens have a fashionable new neighbor: Fluxus, a Los Angeles-based and produced brand that boasts the perfect fusion between fashion and art. Brentwood Gardens marks Fluxus’ second location since opening its flagship boutique in Larchmont Village less than six months ago.
Known for their edgy-chic silhouettes and unique fabric blends of tri-blend, sheer, and burnout, Fluxus enhances the connection between modern life and art through each ingeniously designed garment. Similar to the Larchmont outpost, this boutique’s ambiance reflects the brand’s innovative persona and diverse demographic, but its design resembles the clean, modern look of a minimalist airport. From the airplane windows on the fitting room walls to the floating racks and suitcases in the front window, the boutique symbolizes the brand’s international appeal and creates a welcoming atmosphere, emphasizing that Fluxus opens its doors to everyone.
The newest purveyor will carry the early Spring 2010 Collection, comprised of both men’s and women’s styles such as the Yoko Slouch Top, Sheer Tee, Berlin Dress and Magritte Blazer to mix and match with the brand’s signature burnout tees, vests, leggings and tunics. The classic Fluxus styles will be available in new, exciting, pop-electric colors such as pulp, envy and supreme. The highly anticipated capsule collection designed by new Head Designer Jeffrey Sebelia, winner of Project Runway Season 3, will be available for in-store purchase and will include exclusive couture pieces. There is life, there is art, and in between is fashion.
