New Year’s Eve in Los Angeles – What to do?


new years eve los angelesIt’s getting down to the wire here and I still haven’t committed to any plans.  I’m thinking I may just stay in and cruise through the latest season of Dexter.  For those of you that are more adventurous, some other local bloggers have done some legwork for you:

Councilman Tom LaBonge hikes Griffith Park daily, inviting the community to come out in large numbers with him at each change of season. But instead of a Winter Solstice hike, he leads an annual New Year’s Eve hike. The two hour hike begins at 4 p.m. in the north end of the Griffith Observatory parking.

A safe walk or bicycle trip for all of Venice, our pick this year for a solid New Year’s Eve Party is going to be The Stronghold. $40 will get you some free drinks, and if you want bottle service just bring a bottle. i just got word that madeleine bistro (one of the top vegan restaurants in LA) is offering a whopping 7 course chef’s tasting menu on new year’s eve! they still have some spots left, and if you don’t have plans you should definitely check it out. madeleine serves up the best food i’ve ever eaten.
