Just out east and a little to the north, there’s a land where the pants are tight, the scarves are year-round, and the beer is served in boot. This is where the Silver Lake hipsters that we all know and love roam. If you’re new in town and haven’t had a chance to get to know your local hipster, Ellen Page is working on an HBO show to help catch you right up.
Way further east and way further north, the Silver Lake region of Halifax, Massachusetts has a struggling basketball team called the Silver Lake Hoopsters. Tall high school guys with baggy shorts and no trace of an R sound in their speech, these guys could prove to be a worthy contender of the hipsters.
It’s a tough bet, where’s your money?
