Social Media Sobriety Test

by Jon on November 5, 2010

You arrive home after a night out of boozin’, flip on the TV and realize nothing is on. You open up your laptop, type the letter F into you browser and your computer knows it’s Facebook time. You write witty replies to your friends posts, you spark a conversation over Facebook Chat with someone you haven’t talked to since junior high, and you eventually decide something is funny enough to share with all your friends. You (we) have a problem, and you need a Social Media Sobriety Test.

The Social Media Sobriety Test will stop you from posting status updates that you will regret 6 hours later when you arrive at work. Just select the hours you’d like to block off (the hours you’re typically drunk) and when you try to update your status during those hours you’ll be asked to verify that you’re sober enough to post. If you’re not sober enough to post, the Social Media Sobriety Test will let your friends and family know that you are too hammered to participate in tonight’s Facebook session.. which is equally if not more embarrassing.

There should be software to prevent drunken texting as well.
