Ashton Kutcher’s Twitter account gets punked

by Jon on March 2, 2011

The good people of the hackersphere have hacked Ashton Kutcher’s Twitter account to show the world know that his account, like everyone else’s, is not secure. Hopefully targeting such a big Tweeter will raise awareness of user privacy and maybe prevent our favorite social networks from leaking our personal information to 3rd party developers.

Dude, where’s my SSL is awesome btw.

I thought Kimbo Slice was the spokesman for web security. Wasn’t he on a Norton commercial or something? I would not hack that guy.

Only good can come from this. To quote The Social Network – Regarding hacking @aplusk’s Twitter account “I think I deserve some recognition.”
