Just saw this article:
Canton-based Dunkin’ Donuts is branching out to other parts of the country.
The company said Tuesday in an announcement that it is now recruiting franchisees in Nevada, Kansas and Texas, with plans to open restaurants in those areas as of 2014,according to a report from BizJournals.com on Tuesday.
The company is also looking to check out areas of California, where it has had to retreat from past expansion efforts, according to the report.
The expansion allows the company to make strides in its goal to double its national footprint of more than 7,000 restaurants in the U.S., according to a news release from the company on Tuesday.

Could this be it? Are they finally heading (all the way) West? Are my croissandwich-less mornings over? Can I resume my “blue shirt with a Dunkin’ Donuts iced coffee” work uniform?
PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS TRUE!

Julie M. Donnelly of Boston Business Journal apparently has a friend that Camp Pendleton that says that a job posting has surfaced for Dunkin’ Donuts.
Here’s the quote:
Today, a friend from Massachusetts who lives at Camp Pendleton – his wife is a military doctor – excitedly posted on Facebook that the San Diego country military base would soon be getting a Dunkin’ Donuts.
Lo and behold, the Facebook page for MCCS Camp Pendleton, the food service there, included a job posting that read:
“Want to be a part of the 1st Dunkin’ in CA? Looking to Higher Management positions! Please contact us at firstcupjobs@yahoo.com”
IS IT REALLY HAPPENING?

Stop. Friggin’. Teasing. Us.
By the time Dunkin’ Donuts finally comes to California I’ll be on a raw diet and living in Portland. So hurry the F up. Seriously.
Dunkin’ Donuts and its famed coffee, a favorite of East Coast cops and night owls, is headed west. But not to California — yet.
To the disappointment of local fans who for months have predicted the return of the pink-and-orange stores, the chain’s current expansion plans stop in New Mexico.
“As we expand our footprint across the U.S., it will be part of our strategy, but for now, we don’t have a time set for California,” said John Dawson, chief development officer for Dunkin’ Brands. “But when we enter, we’re going to enter strong, and it’ll be something very few people will miss.”

I’ve been harassing @DunkinDonuts for a while now, and while there are plans for my favorite chain to move west, it doesn’t look like California will be one of the first stops.
Dunkin’ Donuts is going west.
The coffee-and-doughnut chain, an institution in the Northeastern U.S., said Thursday that it’s seeking franchisees for largely untapped parts of Colorado, Texas, Nebraska, Oklahoma and New Mexico.
To entice would-be franchisees, the company will offer reduced royalty fees and extra money for local advertising. It aims to open new shops in Denver and Colorado Springs, Colo.; Houston and Waco, Texas; Lincoln and Omaha, Neb.; Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Okla.; and Santa Fe and Albuquerque, N.M., starting in early 2013.

So it look like I’ll have to continue to binge on Iced Coffees, Croissandwiches, and Munchkins every time I visit Las Vegas. Sigh.

Hey Dunkin’ Donuts! It’s your friendly Los Angeles location scout checking in. I found you a SWEET spot in Santa Monica that will be PERFECT for you guys. Check it out, it’s 3 doors down from Sonny McLean’s, which is the home of Red Sox Nation west, a block away from The Shack which is a Philadelphia bar, and a few blocks away from O’Brien’s which is a New York bar. Just TRY to stock enough iced coffee and croissandwiches for these people, I challenge you! This place used to be a Honey Baked Ham but now it’s all yours for the taking. It’s right on the corner of Wilshire and Princeton, a safe neighborhood, with lots of drive-by traffic. If you look down the road, you can see the ocean, that’s awesome right!? Let me know when you want to check it out and I’ll take care of that ham smell.
Just to save some time I went ahead and put the sign up for you guys:

The Dunkin’ Donuts Twitter person, who I’ve harassed numerous times about bringing California a giant Iced Coffee, is apparently leaving his post and heading west to join our fight. Welcome good sir or madame, try the Coffee Bean. Yeah that’s what we’ve been dealing with.

Is Dunkin’ Donuts FINALLY coming to California? The chances are looking better and better every day.
The facts are this:
- Dunkin’ Donuts is advertising like crazy in Los Angeles. I see them advertising during major sporting events and popular national television shows. I’ve also seen their banner ads on a local food blog.
- All the talk in the comments below point to Dunkin Donuts coming to California soon. I hear this rumor, you hear that, eventually it has to add up to truth. Share your rumor with the LA Snark community below!
- Click on the photo to the upper right. Their Twitter account says that the are coming to California “relatively soon.” Dunkin’ Donuts wouldn’t lie to us via their Twitter account now would they? It has to be happening… finally. [Keep reading…]

Big thanks to Dardar from Arachnidian Web Services for checking out the rumored future location of a Dunkin’ Donuts in Torrance. You may recall that one of our readers saw a job posting for a Torrance Dunkin’ Donuts online and that got us all wondering.
Back east, especially in New York, Dunkin’ Donuts does split it’s store with another Dunkin’ Brands chain, usually Baskin Robbins but I believe they may do the same with ToGo’s. If anyone else has any more information about Dunkin’ Donuts expanding to Los Angeles or anywhere in California (road trip!) please do share.

LA Snark reader Yana has reported in this post that Dunkin’ Donuts is hiring staff for a Dunkin’ Donuts shop in Torrance. This could be the greatest news ever! I woke up with a huuge Dunkin’ Donuts Iced Coffee craving this morning and to this day I still can’t believe it’s impossible for me to hit the drive thru on the way to wherever I’m going. Is it possible that our wishes have been answered? Is Dunkin’ Donuts really coming to the Los Angeles area??

I’ve given them 2 tries.
When I saw the advertisements EVERYWHERE around town, I was like, “Wow, Iced Coffee at a drive-thru, that is genius!” I mean Dunkin’ Donuts has been doing it for years, but as we all know, THERE ARE NO DUNKIN’ DONUTS IN CALIFORNIA!
Man I am going caps lock crazy today.
Anyway, the last time I went to the Target on La Cienega, I decided to give it a try. I drove up to the window, and ordered my Dunkin’ order, “Large iced coffee with just a little bit of milk.” I drove up, handed over the cash, and drove away with what looked like a Dunkin’ Donuts iced coffee.
